FaceTite In Live Oaks Square, FL
FaceTite is a minimally invasive radiofrequency procedure that melts a small volume of fat beneath the chin and jaw while heating the tissue underneath so it contracts. It is not a facelift and it is not scalpel-free. It uses two or three entry points, local anesthesia, and oral sedation, and it only works on mild to moderate laxity. It is also why the wrong anatomy gets a poor result. Patients carrying a genuine fat pad with reasonable skin quality often do better with straight neck liposuction in Live Oaks Square and no heat at all. Adding energy to a patient who does not need it adds recovery time and risk without adding definition.

The submental compartment gets assessed for how much of the fullness is fat and how much is loose skin draping over it. A patient who is mostly fat with tight skin is a liposuction candidate. A patient who is mostly loose skin with almost no fat is usually a surgical candidate. FaceTite sits in the middle band, and that band is narrower than most marketing suggests.
Signal Three: Platysmal Band Behavior
Patients are asked to clench and hold. Vertical cords that stand up on animation are muscle, not fat or skin, and no amount of radiofrequency energy addresses muscle. Missing this is the single most common reason a technically clean procedure produces a disappointed patient six months later.

Inside The Procedure At Formation
FaceTite runs in the office at South Howard Avenue rather than in an operating room. The probe moves in controlled passes through the fat layer. The external electrode reads skin surface temperature continuously and cuts power if the reading climbs past the preset ceiling. That feedback loop is the reason radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis carries a different burn profile than the older laser-based methods it replaced.

The 60/40 Recovery Standard, Applied To A Heat Driven Result
Formation runs on a simple split: the procedure accounts for 60 percent of the result and the recovery accounts for 40 percent. Poor post-procedure care can undo well-executed work.
That ratio shifts further toward recovery with FaceTite than it does with open surgery. A tummy tuck result is largely determined in the operating room. A FaceTite result is determined over the following six to nine months, while collagen remodels. Compression discipline, swelling management, and lymphatic work during that window are not comfort measures. They are the second half of the outcome.

What The Published Data Shows, Including The Part Most Pages Skip
FaceTite is 510(k)-cleared, not FDA-approved, and the distinction matters. The clearance covers soft tissue coagulation and hemostasis. It is not a clearance that certifies any specific cosmetic outcome for the jaw or neck.
The honest number is the one competitors leave out. A published systematic review of subsurface radiofrequency treatments found that in one study of FaceTite-assisted liposuction, 21 percent of patients rated their result as poor or saw no change, and a second study using the same technology reported 15 percent of patients unhappy with the outcome. Reported adverse events across radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis systems include thermal burns, infection, scarring, and nerve injury.
Formation publishes those figures because they explain the screening. Most of that dissatisfaction is a candidacy problem rather than a technique problem. A patient with heavy laxity, standing platysmal bands, or two-second recoil was never going to be pleased with a result the device could physically produce.
Realistic improvement on a well-selected candidate falls well short of what a surgical neck lift achieves. Anyone quoting facelift-equivalent results from a radiofrequency probe is overselling.
Driving To South Howard Avenue From Live Oaks Square
The practical route from 33610 runs south on 30th Street to I-4 westbound, then south on I-275 to the Howard and Armenia exit. It is roughly nine miles. Budget about 18 minutes outside peak hours and closer to 30 during the afternoon build.
Route selection matters more than usual right now. The Florida Department of Transportation is midway through a 227.5 million dollar reconstruction of the Downtown Tampa Interchange where I-275 and I-4 meet, with completion scheduled for spring 2027. The northbound I-275 exit to Ybor City opens in fall 2026, and the eastbound I-4 exit to Ybor is being relocated from 21st and 22nd Streets to 14th and 15th Streets. Residents on the 40th Street side of the neighborhood who currently use the 21st and 22nd Street ramps on the return trip will need to adjust.
For anyone who would rather not drive during recovery, HART Line 9 runs down 30th Street toward downtown and Line 5 covers the 40th Street corridor. Most patients arrange a ride for procedure day regardless, since oral sedation rules out driving home.
