FaceTite In Zephyrhills, FL

FaceTite, a radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis device, tightens loose skin under the chin and along the jaw. It also melts small pockets of fat in the same visit. It works from beneath the skin through a few small openings under the chin and behind the ears, so there’s no facelift incision. Zephyrhills patients have it done at Formation on South Howard Avenue in Tampa. There, Dr. Gopal Grandhige, a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in aesthetic surgery, reads the whole neck before recommending it. Most people are back at work in a week.

What FaceTite Does for the Neck and Jawline

FaceTite heats the tissue under your skin from the inside. That heat makes the skin contract and breaks down small fat deposits. A thin probe passes beneath the skin and delivers radiofrequency energy to the layer where loose skin is anchored.

That depth is the difference. FaceTite reaches the deepest layer of the skin and the fibroseptal network beneath it, the web of connective tissue that ties skin to the muscle below. Lasers and microneedling work from the top down and can’t reach that foundation. New collagen keeps forming for months afterward, which is why tightening shows up well after the swelling is gone.

At Formation, FaceTite is often paired with neck liposuction. Fat comes out first. Then energy tightens the skin so it settles over the muscle and bony structure underneath. Renuvion, a helium-plasma device, is the other tightening option Dr. Grandhige uses on the neck.

Clearance and approval are different FDA pathways, and a lot of marketing mixes up the terms. FaceTite is 510(k)-cleared, which means the agency found it substantially equivalent to devices already on the market.

The Four-Layer Neck Read: Where FaceTite Fits

FaceTite treats two of the four layers that age a neck: fat and skin. Most necks show aging in more than one layer at once, so Dr. Grandhige reads all four before choosing a treatment. What looks like fat from the outside can come from several different structures under the chin.

Layer One: Fat

Fat sitting just under the skin responds well to liposuction, and FaceTite can melt small pockets on its own. Dr. Grandhige removes fat with restraint. Over-aggressive removal causes irregularities and a neck that ages early.

Layer Two: The Platysma Muscle and Platysmal Bands

The vertical cords that show when you tense your neck are platysmal bands. No energy device changes them. Where bands are present, the fix is MyEllevate, a permanent suspension suture, placed with a platysmaplasty. Fullness can also sit beneath the muscle, in deeper fat or in the salivary glands under the jaw, and treatment above the muscle won’t reach it.

Layer Three: Skin and the Fibroseptal Network

This is FaceTite’s main job. It works best on skin that still has some elasticity, roughly skin ages 25 to 55. Some patients weigh it against a PDO thread lift. Threads reposition tissue and then dissolve. FaceTite changes the tissue itself by contracting the network under the skin. When laxity is significant, a neck lift is the more appropriate option. Formation stays in contact with the surgeons who do that work well and points you to the right one.

Layer Four: Chin Projection and Jaw Angle

A short chin makes even a lean neck look soft, and no amount of tightening builds a superhero jawline on a recessed frame. Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite, and Juvederm, a hyaluronic acid, add projection at the chin and jaw angle.

Who FaceTite Suits, and Who Needs Something Else

FaceTite suits people at a stable weight whose under-chin fullness or soft jawline hasn’t changed with training or diet. Many of Dr. Grandhige’s neck patients are already fit. The area never responded, and it makes them look heavier or more tired than they feel.

It’s the wrong first step when bands, a short chin or heavy laxity drive the look. If deeper structures cause the fullness, work closer to the surface won’t produce the contour you expect. Dr. Grandhige says so in the consultation. Sometimes the plan is to wait, or to start with a different layer.

What a 247-Patient Study Found, and Where It Falls Short

One published series of 247 patients is the data worth knowing before a consultation. Patients were treated with FaceTite plus a surface fractional radiofrequency treatment. They improved by an average of 1.4 points on a standard face-and-neck laxity scale, and 93 percent said they were pleased and would repeat it.

The less common problems were:

  • swelling lasting past six weeks, in about 5 percent
  • firm areas lasting past twelve weeks, in about 3 percent
  • temporary weakness of the nerve that moves the lower lip, in about 1 percent

All of them resolved without further treatment.

Read it with its limits. It reviewed cases treated between 2013 and 2018 instead of following a planned group forward. Women made up 234 of the 247 patients. FaceTite was combined with a second device, so its own effect can’t be isolated. And one author has served as chief medical officer of the company that makes the device.

Preparation and Recovery: The 60/40 Recovery Standard

Dr. Grandhige counts the procedure as 60 percent of a FaceTite result and recovery as the other 40. Poor aftercare can undo a well-performed procedure, so both halves get planned.

Before treatment, your health and diet are assessed. In the window just before and after, nutrition, supplements and peptides are adjusted so your body builds the most structure it can. Protein goes up, and dieting is off the table. Arnica and bromelain come with your procedure, started a month ahead to help with bruising and swelling.

Your lymphatic, nutrition and coaching providers are people Dr. Grandhige has vetted himself. That’s the depth-over-volume philosophy Formation was built on. The FaceTite device is the same at every practice that owns one. The thinking around it isn’t.

Your FaceTite Recovery Timeline

Expect swelling, bruising and tightness for the first few days, with a chin compression garment on. At one week, most patients are back at work and back in the gym, still wearing the garment 12 to 24 hours a day. Between two and four weeks, the swelling settles and the fat removal shows. Tightening becomes visible around three months. The final result arrives at six to nine months, once the skin finishes contracting. Dr. Grandhige follows patients for a full year, and nearly all of them keep those visits.

Planning FaceTite From Zephyrhills

From Zephyrhills, FaceTite means one procedure day in Tampa, a few early follow-ups, and check-ins spread across a year. So the plan starts with the drive.

Zephyrhills is in Pasco County. The trip runs west to I-75 on SR 54 or SR 56 (SR 56 reaches the Zephyrhills area from the west), then south on I-275 into Tampa and over to South Howard Avenue. Traffic on I-275 sets the drive time more than the miles do, so late-morning appointments are easier to keep.

Step One Happens From Home

Start with a complimentary virtual evaluation with Hanna, Formation’s patient coordinator. She reviews your goals and outlines a plan before you ever get on I-75. The in-office consultation with Dr. Grandhige carries a fee because it’s a full surgical assessment, and that fee can be applied toward any procedure or product at the practice. To set up either one, contact Formation.

Procedure Day and the First Nights

FaceTite is done in the office with an oral sedative and local anesthesia, so plan on someone else driving you home. If you’d rather skip the drive in the first days, Formation has relationships with nearby hotels at arranged rates. Dr. Grandhige visits patients in their hotel rooms, so the earliest check-ins happen without a trip to the office. If you commute from Zephyrhills to an office, the chin garment rides along that first week.

If You Spend Winters in Zephyrhills

Zephyrhills has a long history as a winter home, and its population grows sharply each season as seasonal residents arrive. If that’s you, book FaceTite early in your stay. The first week of visits happens in Tampa, and tightening shows around three months. The final result lands at six to nine months, which may fall after you’ve left for the season. Plan the later check-ins around your return.

Timing FaceTite Around a Date on Your Calendar

Count back nine months from any event where you want the final result. Count back three months if visible tightening is enough. Here’s how that math plays out as of October 2026:

  • A June 2027 wedding. The nine-month mark has passed, but treatment by mid-December 2026 still reaches the six-month mark.
  • Holiday photos in December 2027. These need a treatment date by March 2027.
  • An April 2027 trip. This reaches the six-month mark only with treatment this month. After that, three months of visible tightening is the realistic target, which means treatment by early January 2027.

Weddings, vacations and big events are what this timing is for, so bring your dates to the evaluation.

Dr. Gopal Grandhige and the Formation Team

Dr. Gopal Grandhige is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in aesthetic surgery. Neck and jawline contouring is one of the five procedures he performs most. He’s certified by the American Board of Surgery.

He trained at the University of Michigan Medical School. He started in Yale’s combined plastic surgery residency before completing a full general surgery residency, followed by fellowships in burn surgery, critical care, and minimally invasive metabolic and foregut surgery. He has performed several thousand operations over more than 15 years.

That background matters on the neck, where the probe works near the nerve that moves the lower lip. Two surgeons can use the same device and get very different results.

Tampa Magazine has named him a Top Doctor every year from 2023 through 2026. The ballots go to physicians across Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties, so doctors in Zephyrhills’ own county had a vote. Formation’s team also includes Dr. Ahmad Saad, a board-certified plastic surgeon.

One Neck Patient's Outcome

The best neck result reads as rested, not operated on. One of Dr. Grandhige’s patients, a fit professional in his 40s, had always carried a full neck and a soft jawline, and weight loss never changed it. He hated how he looked in photos.

His plan was neck liposuction with jawline contouring that kept his natural angles and deliberately avoided aggressive skin tightening. The plan matched his anatomy, and restraint was part of it. Afterward, colleagues told him he looked rested and energized. He says his face finally matches the rest of his body, and he smiles more and gets in pictures now. More outcomes are in Formation’s before-and-after gallery.

FaceTite Questions From Zephyrhills Patients

It's minimally invasive. Dr. Grandhige works through very small openings under the chin and behind the ears, in the office, with an oral sedative and local anesthesia. There's no facelift incision and no general anesthesia.

About one week for both. The chin compression garment stays on 12 to 24 hours a day through that first week, including on the drive from Zephyrhills to work.

Fat removal shows at two to four weeks, tightening at about three months, and the final result at six to nine months. Removed fat cells don't come back. Your neck keeps aging, but removing excess fat can reset that clock and slow future laxity.

No. Platysmal bands come from the muscle, and energy under the skin doesn't change them. Where bands show, Dr. Grandhige uses MyEllevate with a platysmaplasty.

Most patients expect more pain than they get. The oral sedative and local anesthesia keep the procedure comfortable. The soreness afterward stays manageable with compression, movement and swelling control.

Swelling, bruising and tightness are expected early. In one published series of 247 patients, less common problems included swelling past six weeks, firm areas past twelve weeks, and temporary weakness of the nerve that moves the lower lip. All of them resolved without further treatment. Contour irregularities come from removing too much fat, which is why Dr. Grandhige works with restraint.

Usually they notice you, not the procedure, and patients tend to hear that they look rested. The first week is the visible stretch because of swelling and the chin garment, so plan photos and social events after it.

No. The first step is a complimentary virtual evaluation with Hanna, Formation's patient coordinator, from home. The in-office consultation with Dr. Grandhige follows. It carries a fee as a full surgical assessment, and the fee can be applied toward any procedure or product at Formation.

Your Next Step From Zephyrhills

FaceTite earns its place when fat and skin are what’s softening your jawline, and Dr. Grandhige’s first job is confirming that. From Zephyrhills, the path is easy to map. Start with a complimentary virtual evaluation with Hanna from home. Then come to Tampa for an in-office consultation with Dr. Grandhige, which carries a fee that can be applied toward any procedure or product at Formation. Three small incisions instead of one long one.For some patients with diastasis recti, repairing the separated abdominal muscles doesn’t necessarily require a traditional tummy tuck.A tummy tuck makes sense when there’s loose skin that needs to be removed at the same time. But some patients are lean, don’t have much loose skin, and still have that persistent pooch from muscle separation. For the right patient, Dr. Gopal can repair the diastasis using a minimally invasive robotic approach through three small incisions, about 8 mm each, hidden along the bikini line. The key is choosing the right procedure for the right anatomy. If there’s significant loose skin or excess fat, repairing the muscles alone may actually make that looseness more noticeable. That’s why the consultation matters. It’s not just about seeing a belly pooch. It’s about understanding what’s causing it and what actually needs to be addressed.Schedule a consultation with Dr. Gopal at Formation in Tampa to find out which approach makes sense for you. How defined would you go?Not everyone wants the same look from HD liposuction. Some prefer a smooth, subtle contour, while others want their abs to stand out. Here’s how the three levels of definition differ:01. Low definition: A smoother, more subtle contour with gentle definition around the waist and abdomen.02. Medium definition: More visible abdominal lines and a defined waist, without the appearance of a pronounced six-pack.03. High definition: More pronounced abdominal contours that highlight the underlying muscle structure for a sculpted, athletic look.Dr. Gopal tailors his HD liposuction technique to the level of definition you’re looking for, while considering what’s achievable for your body.Which would you choose: 1, 2 or 3? The last one got 11/10.Some of the biggest factors affecting liposuction results have nothing to do with what happens in the operating room.Dr. Gopal rates 13 factors that can influence the final result, from working out before surgery and maintaining a stable weight to compression garments, skin elasticity, and lymphatic massage.A few of his ratings might surprise you.For example, he rates skin elasticity a 10/10 because even after the fat is removed, the skin still needs to contract and settle over the new contour. And lymphatic massage? He gives it an 11/10 because of the role it plays in his recovery protocol, helping manage swelling and supporting how the skin settles over the newly sculpted areas. The takeaway: great liposuction results depend on more than the surgery itself. Patient preparation, anatomy, recovery, and long-term weight maintenance all play a role.Considering liposuction or high-definition liposuction in Tampa? Six to seven hours. That’s how long an HD liposuction procedure can take with Dr. Gopal’s approach. He’s not simply removing fat. He’s evaluating every square inch, considering the underlying anatomy, and shaping how each contour transitions into the next. It’s detailed, physically demanding work.So when Dr. Gopal says, “Someone’s gotta sweat for the fat to come off,” he means it.Considering HD liposuction in Tampa? Will neck lipo give you the jawline you want? It depends…Someone can have fullness under the chin and assume the answer is neck liposuction. But what looks like “fat” from the outside can actually come from several different structures. Some fat sits directly beneath the skin and can respond very well to liposuction. But fullness can also come from deeper fat beneath the platysma, the salivary glands under the jaw, muscles under the chin, or even the natural projection of the chin and jaw itself. That distinction can completely change what neck liposuction can realistically accomplish. This is why evaluating the anatomy matters before deciding on a procedure. For the right anatomy, neck liposuction can create a significant change in the neck and jawline. But when deeper structures are contributing to the fullness, liposuction alone may not create the contour someone is expecting.A good neck lipo consultation should figure that out first.Schedule a consultation with **Dr. Gopal Grandhige at Formation Tampa.** Link in bio.#NeckLipo #NeckLiposuction #DoubleChin #JawlineContouring #NeckContouring

Want more definition than workouts gave you?Traditional liposuction focuses primarily on removing fat. HD liposuction goes further. It requires understanding the underlying muscle anatomy, where to remove fat, where to preserve it, and how each contour works together to create natural-looking definition. That’s the art of it. The goal isn’t to give every patient the same abs or the same body. It’s to work with the anatomy that’s already there and determine how much definition will look right for that individual.Dr. Gopal Grandhige specializes in high-definition liposuction and advanced body contouring, using nearly two decades of surgical experience to create results that look sculpted, athletic, and intentional.Considering HD liposuction in Tampa? Defined abs with HD liposuction.Unlike traditional liposuction, where the primary goal is removing excess fat, HD liposuction is about strategically removing fat to reveal and enhance the underlying muscle structure. Those markings you see before surgery help Dr. Gopal map out the patient’s anatomy and plan where to remove fat and where to preserve it to create more visible definition. The second clip was taken immediately after surgery, so this is not the final result. Swelling and bruising will change significantly as the body heals and the final contour develops over the months that follow.Considering high-definition liposuction? Skin quality changes everything.Neck liposuction can create a more defined jawline and neck contour by removing unwanted fat, but the result also depends heavily on skin quality and elasticity. When skin has good elasticity, neck lipo alone may be enough for the skin to contract around the new contour. With some skin laxity, Dr. Gopal may combine liposuction with a skin-tightening treatment such as Renuvion or FaceTite. With significant laxity, a neck lift may be the more appropriate option. That’s why evaluating the skin is an important part of determining the right approach before neck liposuction.Considering neck liposuction in Tampa?
