FaceTite In Palma Ceia West, FL

FaceTite tightens loose skin under the chin and along the jawline from underneath. A thin radiofrequency probe works below the skin, and the tissue contracts as it heals, so the jaw reads sharper without a facelift’s long incisions. At Formation, it’s usually paired with conservative fat removal in the same office visit, about two miles east of Palma Ceia West.

What FaceTite Does Under The Skin

FaceTite is a bipolar radiofrequency device built for the face and neck. One electrode sits on a thin probe that passes beneath the skin through a small incision. A second glides over the surface. Energy travels between them and heats the tissue in between, and that tissue contracts as it heals.

Where the heat lands matters more than the brand. FaceTite reaches the deepest layer of the skin and the fibroseptal network below it, the connective tissue that anchors skin to the muscle underneath. When that network loosens, skin stops holding its position along the jaw. Lasers and microneedling work from the top down. They can help with texture and fine lines, but they can’t reach that foundation. New collagen follows over the coming months as a result of the heat, not as the reason to choose it.

The FDA cleared FaceTite through the 510(k) premarket notification pathway, meaning the agency found it substantially equivalent to a device already on the market. It’s 510(k)-cleared, not FDA-approved. For the procedure overview without the neighborhood detail, see FaceTite in Tampa.

The Four-Layer Neck Read

Most necks show aging in more than one layer at once. That’s why two people with the same complaint about a soft jawline can leave with different plans. Dr. Grandhige checks four layers, and each one has its own answer. FaceTite answers one of them.

Layer One: Fat

Fat under the chin and along the jaw is heavily genetic, and it often ignores weight loss. The fix is neck liposuction. One of Dr. Grandhige’s neck liposuction and jawline contouring patients, a professional in his 40s, said his neck had looked that way his whole life. He was otherwise fit and had stopped getting into photos. Afterward, colleagues told him he looked rested, and he started showing up in pictures again.

Layer Two: The Platysma And Platysmal Bands

The platysma is the thin sheet of muscle across the front of the neck. When its edges separate, they show as vertical cords, most visible when you talk or tense your neck. Heat doesn’t fix muscle. Where platysmal bands are present, the answer is MyEllevate, a permanent suspension suture, combined with platysmaplasty.

Layer Three: Skin And The Fibroseptal Network

This is FaceTite’s layer. When the skin and the connective tissue beneath it lose their hold, the neck drapes instead of following the jaw. Heat delivered from underneath is what draws it back.

Layer Four: Chin Projection And Jaw Angle

Some necks have good skin and little fat and still look soft, because the chin sits back or the jaw angle is shallow. Tightening can’t build a frame that isn’t there. Structural filler can, using Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite, or Juvederm, a hyaluronic acid, placed at the chin and jaw angle. That’s where a superhero jawline comes from.

Crunches can only do so much. You can spend hours strengthening your abdominal muscles, but that doesn’t guarantee visible definition.A layer of fat sits between the muscles and the skin, and crunches can’t specifically target that fat.For many people, exercise and reducing overall body fat can help reveal their abs. But even people who are already lean and fit can have stubborn fat that hides their natural muscle definition. That’s where high-definition liposuction may help.Dr. Gopal uses HD lipo to selectively remove fat around the natural contours of the abdominal muscles, helping reveal the definition that’s already there.📍 Formation | South TampaInterested in HD lipo? Which one had surgery 1 or 2? 👀High-definition liposuction goes beyond traditional fat removal. Instead of simply reducing fat evenly, the surgeon strategically removes fat around the underlying muscles to make their natural contours more visible. But here’s what makes it interesting: HD lipo doesn’t create the same six-pack on everyone. Each person’s anatomy, muscle development, and desired level of definition influence the final result. Now take another look at these two patients.Which one do you think had HD liposuction, 1 or 2?Drop your guess below, then check the pinned comment for the answer!#HDLiposuction #MaleLiposuction #BodyContouring #Tampa

There’s a story behind every decision.Cosmetic surgery is a personal decision. Yet people who choose it often find themselves having to explain or defend that choice to others. Some want to restore changes after pregnancy or weight loss. Others have worked hard to get in shape but still have areas they’d like to improve. And some simply want to feel more comfortable with their appearance. The reasons are different for everyone. And they don’t have to make sense to anyone else.At Formation, Dr. Gopal believes the decision to pursue cosmetic surgery should be guided by a patient’s personal goals, realistic expectations, and what’s medically appropriate for them.Because ultimately, the person making that decision is the one who will live with it.#Tampa #CosmeticSurgery #BodyContouring #Liposuction

What weight loss can’t fix. After losing over 100 pounds, this patient had achieved significant weight loss, but was left with excess skin around his abdomen and back that weight loss alone couldn’t address.During an 8-hour surgery, Dr. Gopal performed a circumferential body lift, a procedure that removes excess skin around the entire midsection to improve body contour. In this video, Dr. Gopal walks through the procedure, explaining how he removed approximately 3 pounds of skin from the back and estimated another 4–5 pounds would be removed from the abdomen. He’s also using a small amount of fat collected during the procedure to add volume to the upper chest, improving its contour without performing a separate chest lift. For patients who have experienced major weight loss, body contouring can help address the excess skin that remains after the weight is gone.Considering surgery after weight loss? Your fat is liquid gold. The fat you don’t want might be exactly what another part of your body needs.During liposuction, the fat we remove doesn’t always have to be discarded. In fact, Dr. Gopal refers to it as “liquid gold.”Why? Because that fat can sometimes be transferred to another area of the body to add volume, enhance natural contours, and create a more balanced shape. For women, that might mean adding volume to the breasts, hips, or buttocks. For men, fat transfer can help enhance the chest or shoulders. And because we’re using your own fat, we can potentially improve two areas during the same surgery.Of course, fat transfer isn’t right for everyone. It’s something Dr. Gopal discusses with patients beforehand and incorporates into the surgical plan when appropriate.Considering liposuction in Tampa? A flatter stomach without a tummy tuck? 👀Pregnancy, and sometimes increased pressure from fat deep inside the abdomen, can cause the abdominal muscles to separate down the middle. This is called diastasis recti, and it can make your belly stick out even if you’re otherwise lean.Traditionally, repairing that separation often meant undergoing a tummy tuck. But what if you don’t have much loose skin to remove? For the right patient, Dr. Gopal can use robotic-assisted surgery to bring those separated muscles back together through three small incisions, without the long scar associated with a traditional tummy tuck. That’s exactly what he did for the patient in these before-and-after photos. No tummy tuck. No additional procedures.**But this approach isn’t for everyone.** If you have significant loose skin or excess fat, a different treatment may be more appropriate. That’s why understanding what’s causing your belly to protrude matters before deciding on surgery.Curious whether you’re a candidate? Who FaceTite Fits, And Who It Doesn’t

FaceTite fits skin that can still recoil. In practice, that means a skin age of roughly 25 to 55 and mild to moderate laxity, in someone whose weight has settled. Skin age is the phrase that counts. A neck that’s spent decades in the Tampa sun can be older than its owner, and the reverse happens too, so Dr. Gopal Grandhige assesses the tissue instead of the birth date.

Some necks do better with something else. Platysmal bands belong to layer two, and skin tightening alone will disappoint you there. Skin that hangs at rest, even when you’re sitting upright, needs to be removed rather than heated, and no energy device changes that. If you’re still losing weight, finish first, because the neck you treat should be the neck you’ll keep.

There’s one more outcome to plan around. When fat comes out of a neck whose skin can’t recoil, the skin the fat was holding out has nowhere to go, and the neck can look looser than before. Dr. Grandhige reads the skin before deciding how much fat to remove, and he avoids aggressive removal for exactly this reason.

When the exam points past what tightening can reach, Formation refers you out. Dr. Grandhige stays in contact with surgeons who do neck lift and facelift work well and points patients to the right one.

What The Published Evidence Shows

A 247-patient retrospective series in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open combined FaceTite with a fractional radiofrequency treatment for the lower face and neck. Ninety-three percent of patients said they were pleased and would repeat it. Swelling past six weeks occurred in 4.8 percent, a hardened area past twelve weeks in 3.2 percent, and temporary weakness of the nerve at the corner of the mouth in 1.2 percent. All of these resolved without further treatment.

Read it with its limits. It was retrospective, it tested a combination rather than FaceTite alone, 234 of the 247 patients were women, and several authors consult for the device maker. The authors also state it isn’t meant to replace a facelift or neck lift in the right candidate. One detail lines up with Formation’s technique: the study’s access points include the same two sites, under the chin and behind the ear.

Two Ways To Start

The in-office consultation with Dr. Grandhige carries a fee. It’s a full surgical assessment across all four layers, and the fee can be applied toward any procedure or product at Formation. If you want a read on candidacy before you come in, Formation also offers a complimentary virtual evaluation with patient coordinator Hanna. She reviews your goals and outlines a plan, and you decide from there whether the in-office visit makes sense.

Treatment Day At Formation

Neck and jawline work happens in the office, under local anesthesia with an oral sedative rather than general anesthesia. Dr. Grandhige, a board-certified general surgeon specializing in aesthetic surgery, makes very small incisions under the chin and behind the ears. He removes fat carefully and preserves the natural angles of the jaw, stopping short of the aggressive removal that can leave irregularities or age a neck early.

The tightening step comes next: FaceTite, or Renuvion, a helium plasma energy device, depending on the plan. The goal is skin that settles over the muscle and bone beneath it. Dr. Grandhige performs the procedure himself, with his own physician assistant assisting. The same order runs through every neck and jawline contouring plan at Formation: fat first, then skin.

How Formation Prepares The Body Before And After

Health and diet are assessed before treatment. Nutrition, supplements and peptides are then adjusted in the window right before and right after, so the body has what it needs to build new structure while the tissue tightens. Protein intake and lymphatic flow are part of the plan too, handled by providers Dr. Grandhige has vetted himself.

Formation calls this the 60/40 Recovery Standard. In Dr. Grandhige’s own split, the surgery accounts for 60 percent of the result and post-operative care for the other 40. Poor after-care can undo a well-performed procedure. That’s why he follows patients for a full year, a choice rooted in Formation’s practice philosophy.

Every practice that owns FaceTite has the same device. The thinking around it is where results separate.

Recovery Week By Week

First few days. Swelling and tightness, with some bruising. The chin compression garment goes on.

One week. Back to work and back to training. The chin garment stays on 12 to 24 hours a day.

Two to four weeks. Swelling keeps settling, and the fat removal becomes visible.

Three months. Skin tightening shows, and the jawline is clearly sharper.

Six to nine months. The final result, once tightening has finished.

Between week four and month three, the fat is gone but the skin hasn’t caught up, and it can feel like nothing is happening. That stretch is normal. Compression and lymphatic support carry you through it. You can see where it ends up in Formation’s neck and jawline results gallery.

Plan backward from any date that matters. Visible tightening needs about three months, so a procedure in late October puts it in place around Gasparilla in late January. The finished result needs six to nine months, which means a wedding or reunion should be booked well ahead.

Getting To Formation From Palma Ceia West

Formation sits about two miles from Palma Ceia West, and the drive barely changes streets. The City of Tampa defines the neighborhood roughly as the blocks between West Morrison Avenue and San Carlos Street, from Lois Avenue east to Dale Mabry Highway. Morrison, the northern edge, runs east across Dale Mabry to South Howard Avenue. Turn south on Howard, and Formation is a few blocks down at 1315 South Howard Avenue. From Grady Elementary on Morrison, it’s roughly two miles door to door.

That route crosses Dale Mabry instead of following it. At rush hour the difference is real, because Dale Mabry is the main commuter road south to the MacDill Air Force Base gate.

The short distance changes week one as well. For patients who travel in, Formation works with nearby hotels, and Dr. Grandhige visits them in their rooms during the early days. Palma Ceia West patients recover at home and come back for follow-up in the chin garment without planning around a long drive.

Getting To Formation From Palma Ceia West

It’s a minimally invasive procedure done in the office under local anesthesia with an oral sedative. It uses very small incisions under the chin and behind the ears, placed where they’re hard to see.

Fat removed from the neck doesn’t come back. Skin keeps aging, so Formation doesn’t quote a set number of years. Taking excess fat out of this area can reset the aging clock and slow how quickly laxity shows up later.

Rarely. If fat is causing the fullness, it has to come out, and tightening finishes the result. Heating skin over fat that’s still there gives you a smoother version of the same profile.

Then the issue sits in layer two, the platysma muscle, and energy tightening won’t correct it. Where bands are present, the answer is MyEllevate, a permanent suspension suture, with platysmaplasty.

Most patients find the discomfort manageable. The first few days bring swelling and tightness, and compression and early movement make that stretch easier.

Usually not as a procedure. Patients more often hear that they look rested or fit. Conservative fat removal and preserved jaw angles keep the change reading that way.

At one week, the same point most patients go back to work. Keep the chin garment on 12 to 24 hours a day through that first stretch.

Formation goes by skin age rather than birthday, and the working window is a skin age of roughly 25 to 55. Past that, skin usually needs to be removed rather than tightened, and Formation will point you to a surgeon who does that work well.

The Short Version For Palma Ceia West

If the skin under your jaw still recoils and fat is what’s blurring the line, FaceTite with conservative fat removal is a sound plan. Expect a week of downtime and about three months before the tightening shows. If bands or hanging skin are the real issue, or the chin sits too far back, it’s the wrong tool, and Formation will tell you so.

Use the form below to request the in-office consultation, which carries a fee that applies toward treatment, or the complimentary virtual evaluation with Hanna. The clinic is two miles east on Morrison.
