FaceTite In Safety Harbor, FL

FaceTite, a radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis treatment, removes fat and tightens loose skin under the jaw and along the neck without a facelift incision. It’s done in the office while you’re awake, through small openings under the chin and behind the ears. Most people are back at work in about a week. Formation is in South Tampa, one causeway crossing from Safety Harbor.

How FaceTite Reaches Below Surface Treatments

FaceTite works at a depth surface treatments can’t reach. A thin probe slides under the skin while an electrode rides on the surface above it, and radiofrequency current runs between the two. That puts heat at the fibroseptal network, the connective tissue foundation between skin and muscle that holds the neck’s shape. The surface electrode reads temperature throughout, which keeps the energy hot enough to contract tissue and cool enough to protect the skin.

Lasers and microneedling start at the top and work down. They help texture and tone, and for some people that’s the whole complaint. The foundation sits below where they stop. Safety Harbor’s motto is “Home of the Mineral Springs,” and a resort spa still stands over its historic springs, so surface care is familiar territory here. If you’ve had plenty of it and your jawline still reads soft, the missing piece is usually depth.

One appointment runs on two clocks. Fat in the treated pocket is suctioned out, and you’ll see that within weeks. The skin above it contracts and keeps remodeling for months, with collagen building as part of that later change.

The InMode RF system that powers FaceTite reached the market through the FDA’s 510(k) clearance pathway, which is a different route from FDA approval. The main FaceTite in Tampa page covers every treatment area. This one stays on the neck, the jawline and the trip from Safety Harbor.

The Four-Layer Neck Read

Most necks show aging in more than one layer at once. That’s why a single treatment for everyone disappoints so many people. Before recommending anything, Dr. Grandhige reads all four layers and matches each to its own answer.

Layer One, Fat

Submental fat is the pad under the chin. It’s heavily shaped by genetics, which is why it often holds on through weight loss. Targeted neck liposuction removes it to sharpen the jawline while preserving its natural angles. Fat comes out with restraint, because taking too much invites irregularities and an older look later.

Layer Two, The Platysma And Platysmal Bands

The platysma is the thin muscle sheet across the front of the neck. With age its edges can separate, and the vertical cords that show when you tense your neck are platysmal bands. Heat won’t fix them. When bands are present, the answer is MyEllevate, a permanent suspension suture, combined with platysmaplasty. The suture is nonabsorbable and can be removed, while barbed threads dissolve, and the lift is visible the day it’s placed.

Layer Three, Skin And The Fibroseptal Network

This is FaceTite’s layer, and elasticity is the gate. The working window runs roughly from skin age 25 to 55. Pinch the skin under your chin, hold it a second and let go. A quick snap back means radiofrequency has something to pull on.

Formation tightens this layer with either FaceTite or Renuvion, a helium plasma energy device, and the choice is made at the read. If the skin stays tented, or you can gather a thick fold, tightening will underdeliver. In that case, Formation will point you to the surgeons who do excisional neck work well.

Layer Four, Chin Projection And Jaw Angle

Some people clear the first three layers and still miss the line they pictured, because the chin or jaw angle doesn’t project far enough. That’s a frame question. Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite, and Juvederm, a hyaluronic acid, add projection at the chin and along the jaw angle. A superhero jawline is a frame problem before it’s a fat problem, and tightening can’t build a frame that isn’t there.

Who Gets The Most From FaceTite, And Who Should Wait

FaceTite suits people with fullness under the chin or a softened jawline whose skin still recoils. Most of Dr. Grandhige’s patients are already fit and healthy. They’re working on something healthy living can’t fix, and skin laxity is the clearest example.

The strongest candidates usually have:

  • A double chin or a jawline that’s lost its edge
  • Skin that passes the pinch test, roughly skin age 25 to 55
  • Interest in refinement without a more invasive surgery
  • A preference for a natural, sharp line over a pulled look

Reasons to wait or change the plan are just as specific:

  • Visible bands bring layer-two work into the plan.
  • A wedding or trip inside the next few months is a timing problem, since the final result takes six to nine months.
  • Sometimes the better first step is foundational health, and Dr. Grandhige will say so.

Male jawlines need their own read, which the FaceTite for men page covers.

Not every neck needs heat. One Formation patient, a fit professional in his 40s, thought his neck and jawline made him look heavier and older than he felt. He hated how he looked in photos. His plan was targeted neck liposuction with precise jawline contouring, with aggressive skin tightening deliberately left out. Colleagues started saying he looked more rested, and he started getting in pictures again.

What The Published Research Actually Says

A 2020 multicenter review, described by its authors as the largest of its kind at the time, covered 247 patients treated for lower face and neck laxity. Most were women, the average age was 55, and 240 of the 247 cases were done under local anesthesia. Ninety-three percent said they were pleased and would repeat it.

Complications were counted:

  • Swelling past six weeks in 4.8%
  • A hardened area past twelve weeks in 3.2%
  • Temporary weakness of the marginal mandibular nerve, which controls the muscles that pull down the lower lip, in 1.2%

All of them resolved without further treatment.

Four details rarely reach clinic pages:

  • The improvement figure depends on where you read. The abstract reports a 1.4-point improvement on the Baker Face/Neck scale. The paper’s statistics section shows average scores moving from 2.66 to 1.86, closer to 0.8. The change was statistically significant in the paper’s analysis.
  • The nerve has a mapped no-treatment zone. The surgeons left the area inward of the marionette lines alone, because the nerve branches there and skin and muscle sit tightly together.
  • Every author had ties to the manufacturer. Five disclosed consulting for InMode, and one was a co-investigator.
  • Follow-up averaged 2.1 years. That’s the span the evidence covers.

Two more limits sit beside all of it. The review was retrospective, with no untreated comparison group. It also paired FaceTite with fractional radiofrequency microneedling, which delivers energy into the skin through needles, so it didn’t test FaceTite alone. The older half of the group showed a larger measured change, and the younger half improved too.

The Weeks Before And After The Appointment

What changes a FaceTite result is what happens on either side of the appointment. Health and diet are assessed before treatment. In the window right before and right after, nutrition, supplements and peptides are adjusted so your body builds as much structure as it can while tissue remodels. Protein intake, inflammation control and lymphatic flow get dialed in. Lymphatic care, nutrition guidance and coaching come from providers Dr. Grandhige has vetted personally.

His training explains the focus. He’s a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in aesthetic surgery, certified by the American Board of Surgery, with fellowship training in burn surgery, critical care, and minimally invasive metabolic and foregut surgery. Burn and critical care work is wound-healing work, and FaceTite creates controlled healing under the skin.

Patients often tell staff the worries they won’t say to the surgeon. Formation’s staff passes those along, so Dr. Grandhige can answer them without you having to ask.

The instrument is identical at every practice. The thinking around it isn’t.

The 60/40 Recovery Standard And Your Timeline

Dr. Grandhige counts the procedure as 60% of the result and post-operative care as the other 40%. Poor aftercare can undo good work, so recovery here is actively run.

The arc for a neck and jawline case:

  • First few days: mild swelling, bruising and tightness, with a chin compression garment on
  • One week: back to work, social plans and training, with the garment worn 12 to 24 hours a day
  • Two to four weeks: swelling keeps settling and the fat removal shows
  • Three months: skin tightening becomes visible, with clear jawline improvement
  • Six to nine months: the final result, once tightening finishes

Count backward before you choose a date. A late-fall 2026 appointment reaches its final result between late spring and late summer 2027. A garment worn up to 24 hours a day also feels different in January than in August. Dr. Grandhige follows patients for a full year, and nearly all of them stay for it. The before and after gallery shows how the arc lands.

Three small incisions instead of one long one.For some patients with diastasis recti, repairing the separated abdominal muscles doesn’t necessarily require a traditional tummy tuck.A tummy tuck makes sense when there’s loose skin that needs to be removed at the same time. But some patients are lean, don’t have much loose skin, and still have that persistent pooch from muscle separation. For the right patient, Dr. Gopal can repair the diastasis using a minimally invasive robotic approach through three small incisions, about 8 mm each, hidden along the bikini line. The key is choosing the right procedure for the right anatomy. If there’s significant loose skin or excess fat, repairing the muscles alone may actually make that looseness more noticeable. That’s why the consultation matters. It’s not just about seeing a belly pooch. It’s about understanding what’s causing it and what actually needs to be addressed.Schedule a consultation with Dr. Gopal at Formation in Tampa to find out which approach makes sense for you. How defined would you go?Not everyone wants the same look from HD liposuction. Some prefer a smooth, subtle contour, while others want their abs to stand out. Here’s how the three levels of definition differ:01. Low definition: A smoother, more subtle contour with gentle definition around the waist and abdomen.02. Medium definition: More visible abdominal lines and a defined waist, without the appearance of a pronounced six-pack.03. High definition: More pronounced abdominal contours that highlight the underlying muscle structure for a sculpted, athletic look.Dr. Gopal tailors his HD liposuction technique to the level of definition you’re looking for, while considering what’s achievable for your body.Which would you choose: 1, 2 or 3? The last one got 11/10.Some of the biggest factors affecting liposuction results have nothing to do with what happens in the operating room.Dr. Gopal rates 13 factors that can influence the final result, from working out before surgery and maintaining a stable weight to compression garments, skin elasticity, and lymphatic massage.A few of his ratings might surprise you.For example, he rates skin elasticity a 10/10 because even after the fat is removed, the skin still needs to contract and settle over the new contour. And lymphatic massage? He gives it an 11/10 because of the role it plays in his recovery protocol, helping manage swelling and supporting how the skin settles over the newly sculpted areas. The takeaway: great liposuction results depend on more than the surgery itself. Six to seven hours. That’s how long an HD liposuction procedure can take with Dr. Gopal’s approach. He’s not simply removing fat. He’s evaluating every square inch, considering the underlying anatomy, and shaping how each contour transitions into the next. It’s detailed, physically demanding work.So when Dr. Gopal says, “Someone’s gotta sweat for the fat to come off,” he means it.Considering HD liposuction in Tampa? Will neck lipo give you the jawline you want? It depends…Someone can have fullness under the chin and assume the answer is neck liposuction. But what looks like “fat” from the outside can actually come from several different structures. Some fat sits directly beneath the skin and can respond very well to liposuction. But fullness can also come from deeper fat beneath the platysma, the salivary glands under the jaw, muscles under the chin, or even the natural projection of the chin and jaw itself. That distinction can completely change what neck liposuction can realistically accomplish. This is why evaluating the anatomy matters before deciding on a procedure. For the right anatomy, neck liposuction can create a significant change in the neck and jawline. But when deeper structures are contributing to the fullness, liposuction alone may not create the contour someone is expecting.A good neck lipo consultation should figure that out first.Schedule a consultation with **Dr. Gopal Grandhige at Formation Tampa.** Link in bio.#NeckLipo #NeckLiposuction #DoubleChin #JawlineContouring #NeckContouring

Want more definition than workouts gave you?Traditional liposuction focuses primarily on removing fat. HD liposuction goes further. It requires understanding the underlying muscle anatomy, where to remove fat, where to preserve it, and how each contour works together to create natural-looking definition. That’s the art of it. The goal isn’t to give every patient the same abs or the same body. It’s to work with the anatomy that’s already there and determine how much definition will look right for that individual.Dr. Gopal Grandhige specializes in high-definition liposuction and advanced body contouring, using nearly two decades of surgical experience to create results that look sculpted, athletic, and intentional.Considering HD liposuction in Tampa? Defined abs with HD liposuction.Unlike traditional liposuction, where the primary goal is removing excess fat, HD liposuction is about strategically removing fat to reveal and enhance the underlying muscle structure. Those markings you see before surgery help Dr. Gopal map out the patient’s anatomy and plan where to remove fat and where to preserve it to create more visible definition. The second clip was taken immediately after surgery, so this is not the final result. Swelling and bruising will change significantly as the body heals and the final contour develops over the months that follow.Considering high-definition liposuction? Skin quality changes everything.Neck liposuction can create a more defined jawline and neck contour by removing unwanted fat, but the result also depends heavily on skin quality and elasticity. When skin has good elasticity, neck lipo alone may be enough for the skin to contract around the new contour. With some skin laxity, Dr. Gopal may combine liposuction with a skin-tightening treatment such as Renuvion or FaceTite. With significant laxity, a neck lift may be the more appropriate option. That’s why evaluating the skin is an important part of determining the right approach before neck liposuction.Considering neck liposuction in Tampa? Crossing The Bay From Safety Harbor

Formation is at 1315 South Howard Avenue in South Tampa, about 20 miles from downtown Safety Harbor. With clear traffic, the drive takes roughly 30 to 35 minutes. The route crosses the Courtney Campbell Causeway, the northernmost bridge over Tampa Bay. It runs nearly 10 miles across Old Tampa Bay from eastern Clearwater into Tampa. When it backs up, the fallback is the long way around the top of the bay through Oldsmar.

Three things about the distance matter clinically.

You’ll need a ride. FaceTite uses an oral sedative with local anesthesia, so you’re awake, but you won’t be driving a 10-mile causeway afterward. Book the driver when you book the date.

The follow-up runs a full year. A bridge between you and the office makes later visits easy to skip, and those visits are where the 40% gets protected. Schedule them around bridge traffic from the start.

The first nights don’t have to be at home. Formation works with nearby hotels, and Dr. Grandhige visits patients there in the early days so they don’t have to come into the office.

Safety Harbor sits between Clearwater and Oldsmar, and Clearwater and St. Petersburg are already among the communities Formation’s patients come from. If your training runs along the Courtney Campbell Trail, one week is the usual point to get back to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Formation is at 1315 South Howard Avenue in South Tampa, about 20 miles from downtown Safety Harbor. With clear traffic, the drive across the Courtney Campbell Causeway takes roughly 30 to 35 minutes. Rush hour on the bridge can stretch that.

Yes. The in-office consultation with Dr. Grandhige is a full surgical assessment and carries a fee, which can be applied toward any procedure or product at the practice. You can start with a complimentary virtual evaluation with patient coordinator Hanna before making the trip.

No. FaceTite uses an oral sedative with local anesthesia, so someone else needs to drive you back across the bay. If you'd rather not make the return trip that day, Formation works with nearby hotels.

Most people are back at work, social plans and training at about one week. During that week, they wear the chin compression garment 12 to 24 hours a day. Swelling keeps settling over the next two to four weeks.

If your skin stays tented during the pinch test, tightening will underdeliver. Dr. Grandhige will tell you so at the read, and Formation will point you to surgeons who do excisional neck work well.

That usually points to the frame. Structural filler at the chin and jaw angle adds projection that tightening can't create, and the read will show whether you need it.

Usually not in a way they can name. People tend to say you look rested or fit without guessing a procedure was done. The incisions are small and placed under the chin and behind the ears.

Results are long-lasting. Aging continues, but removing excess neck fat can slow how quickly new laxity shows. A 2020 review of 247 patients followed them for an average of 2.1 years, so that's the span the research covers.

Deciding On FaceTite In Safety Harbor

FaceTite is a depth tool. It reaches the connective foundation surface treatments can’t, removes the fat sitting over it, and does both in one awake office visit. It works when skin still recoils, and you’ll hear at the read if yours doesn’t.

For Safety Harbor, plan three things from the start: the causeway, a ride home and a year of follow-up. If the read points past FaceTite, neck and jawline contouring covers the fuller plan.

Begin with a complimentary virtual evaluation with Hanna, or book the in-office consultation with Dr. Grandhige. That consultation carries a fee, which applies toward any procedure or product.
