FaceTite In Land O' Lakes, FL

What FaceTite Does For The Jawline And Neck

Two things happen during treatment. Fat under the chin is loosened and drawn off through the same entry point, and the skin above it is heated to a controlled temperature so it contracts over the new contour. That second part is what separates it from liposuction alone. Take fat out of a neck with slack skin and you can end up with a flatter profile that still hangs.

Dr. Gopal Grandhige treats this area as sculpture rather than removal. He works around the natural jaw angle and the bone underneath, taking less than the maximum on purpose. Over-aggressive fat removal here creates irregularities and can age a face rather than freshen it.

The procedure sits between two poles. It does more than an injectable and less than a neck lift. Patients who want facial refinement without fillers and without an incision behind the ear tend to land here. For the procedure described in general terms, see FaceTite in Tampa.

The Four-Layer Neck Read

Most necks show aging in more than one layer at once. Formation reads all four before recommending anything, because treating one layer when the problem sits in another is the most common reason a jawline result disappoints.

Layer One, Fat Under The Chin

This is the layer people notice in photographs. Fat below the jaw line blurs the border between face and neck, and it is often genetic rather than tied to weight. Plenty of lean patients carry it. The answer is neck liposuction through small incisions under the chin and behind the ears. FaceTite is usually added in the same visit, because taking the fat out exposes whatever the skin was hiding.

Layer Two, The Platysma And Platysmal Bands

If a vertical cord shows down the front of your neck when you tense, that is the platysma. Skin tightening will not settle a platysmal band, because the band is muscle. The answer at this layer is suspension: MyEllevate, a permanent suspension suture, combined with platysmaplasty. The suture is nonabsorbable and can be removed, and the lift is present the day it is placed. FaceTite alone does not reach it.

Layer Three, Skin And The Fibroseptal Network

Skin that has lost its recoil, plus the connective tissue foundation between skin and muscle, make up the third layer. The fibroseptal network is the scaffold holding skin against the structures beneath it. When it loosens, the skin above it drapes. This is FaceTite’s layer, and nothing applied to the surface reaches it.

Layer Four, Chin Projection And Jaw Angle

Sometimes the neck is fine and the frame is the problem. A chin that sits back creates an appearance of fullness that fat removal will not fix, because fat is not the issue. Structural filler addresses this: Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite, or Juvederm, a hyaluronic acid, placed at the chin point and along the jaw angle to build the frame outward. This is the layer that gives a superhero jawline its shape, and the one most often missed.

A flatter stomach without a tummy tuck? 👀Pregnancy, and sometimes increased pressure from fat deep inside the abdomen, can cause the abdominal muscles to separate down the middle. This is called diastasis recti, and it can make your belly stick out even if you’re otherwise lean.Traditionally, repairing that separation often meant undergoing a tummy tuck. But what if you don’t have much loose skin to remove? For the right patient, Dr. Gopal can use robotic-assisted surgery to bring those separated muscles back together through three small incisions, without the long scar associated with a traditional tummy tuck. That’s exactly what he did for the patient in these before-and-after photos. No tummy tuck. No additional procedures.**But this approach isn’t for everyone.** If you have significant loose skin or excess fat, a different treatment may be more appropriate. That’s why understanding what’s causing your belly to protrude matters before deciding on surgery.Curious whether you’re a candidate? Why does fluid sometimes collect after surgery? After certain surgical procedures, fluid can accumulate beneath the skin, forming what’s called a seroma. In this video, Dr. Gopal demonstrates how he drains a seroma in a patient recovering from diastasis recti repair. This is one of the reasons postoperative follow-up matters. It allows Dr. Gopal to monitor healing, identify any issues, and address them when necessary.Considering surgery? The fat is gone. But what takes its place? When fat is removed during liposuction, it leaves behind space beneath the skin. As the body heals, fluid can sometimes collect in that space, creating what’s called a seroma. And here’s why that matters. If fluid continues to collect, it can potentially affect the final contour. That’s why Dr. Gopal pays close attention to fluid buildup during recovery. His approach is to identify seromas early and address them quickly.Considering liposuction in Tampa? Not every patient who wants surgery is ready for it.One patient came to Dr. Gopal wanting a tummy tuck. Over the next 18 months, she returned multiple times, having lost more weight each time. And each time, the answer was still no.Not because she couldn’t have the surgery, but because she wasn’t where she wanted to be yet.Instead of rushing into surgery, the focus was on helping her reach a healthier, more sustainable weight through nutritional counseling, lifestyle support, and medical weight management.By the time she had lost 80 pounds, she was ready, both physically and mentally. For Dr. Gopal, being a good surgeon isn’t just about knowing how to perform a procedure. It’s also about knowing when not to perform one.Sometimes the best result starts long before the operating room.Considering a tummy tuck? Six hours. Hundreds of decisions.High-definition liposuction is as much about precision as it is about technique.Dr. Gopal can spend 6–7 hours on a single HD liposuction procedure, carefully evaluating the body’s anatomy, refining muscle definition, and making sure each contour transitions naturally into the next. And that level of attention doesn’t change as the hours go by.Because the final result is shaped by hundreds of small decisions made throughout the procedure.Considering HD liposuction in Tampa? Which one surprised you the most? 👀Liposuction is one of those procedures people have heard a lot about, but not everything they’ve heard is accurate. From what liposuction can actually achieve to how long results take to develop, there are plenty of misconceptions that can lead to unrealistic expectations.Dr. Gopal Grandhige, board-certified plastic surgeon at Formation in Tampa, breaks down some of the most common beliefs about liposuction and explains what’s fact and what’s fiction.#Liposuction #HDLiposuction #BodyContouring #tampa

This is not your typical liposuction. 👀Most people think liposuction is simply about removing unwanted fat. But high-definition liposuction takes a different approach. Before surgery, Dr. Gopal carefully maps out the patient’s natural anatomy, marking the chest, abdomen, and waist to guide where fat will be removed and where it should be preserved. Why does that matter?Because removing fat evenly isn’t necessarily going to create definition. HD liposuction uses strategic fat removal to highlight the underlying muscle structure and create a more sculpted, athletic appearance. And those lines? They’re part of the planning that makes this level of precision possible. The photos show an actual patient immediately after surgery. Swelling is still present, and the final results will develop as healing progresses.Interested in high-definition liposuction? Does fat move after lipo? It’s a common concern, especially when someone notices weight gain in an area that wasn’t treated. Here’s what actually happens. The fat cells removed during liposuction are gone permanently. But if someone gains weight afterward, the remaining fat cells can still grow, including in areas that weren’t treated. The fat didn’t move. The body gained weight. That’s why Dr. Gopal emphasizes being at a weight patients can realistically maintain before surgery. Not the lowest weight they can reach, but one they can sustain long after recovery.Considering liposuction? Schedule a consultation with Dr. Gopal at Formation in Tampa. Why Depth Of Access Is The Difference

The energy source is not the interesting part. Depth of access is.

Lasers and microneedling devices work from the top down. They heat the surface and the upper skin, and they improve texture and fine lines, which is real value. What they cannot do is reach the fibroseptal network, because that foundation sits below their working depth. FaceTite goes underneath it. A slim probe passes below the skin while a second electrode rides on top, and the tissue between them is brought to a set temperature that is monitored throughout.

Collagen remodeling continues for months afterward and shapes the final result, but it is a consequence of reaching the right depth rather than the reason the treatment works.

Radiofrequency platforms used for this are 510(k)-cleared rather than FDA-approved, which is the standard pathway for this class of device. Clearance says nothing about how well the device suits your particular neck.

Who FaceTite Suits, And Who It Does Not

The skin has to be able to respond. Formation looks for reasonable elasticity, which in practice means roughly skin ages 25 to 55. That is a range for skin quality, not a birthday cutoff. Someone at 58 who stayed out of the sun may have better recoil than someone at 44 who did not.

Strong candidates tend to share a few features: fullness under the chin that has not responded to training, a jaw line that reads softer than the rest of a fit body, skin that springs back well when pinched and released, and stable weight across recent months.

Recent weight loss deserves a direct conversation. Dropping a large amount quickly, including on a GLP-1 medication, changes what skin does when it is released. Sometimes the right call is to treat now. Sometimes it is to wait until weight has held steady, because tightening skin that is still changing shape means treating a moving target.

Some patients cannot be helped by this, and Formation says so at the consultation. Skin with a fold that hangs at rest, or laxity past what energy can contract, needs surgical removal, which falls outside what Formation offers. Those patients are referred outward to surgeons who do that work well. Dr. Grandhige has told patients to wait, and told others that surgery is not the answer at all. The alternative is a result that underdelivers while you still go through the recovery. For the broader picture, see neck and jawline contouring.

What Treatment Day Looks Like

Neck and jawline work at Formation happens in the office rather than an operating room. You take an oral sedative, the area is numbed with local anesthetic, and the treatment runs through very small incisions under the chin and behind the ears. You stay awake. Nobody is putting you under.

Dr. Grandhige performs the procedure himself. He also does the consultation, which sounds unremarkable until you have been through a practice where the person who assessed you is not the person holding the device. Surgical volume here is limited on purpose so that stays true.

Office-based procedures in Florida are mid-change in a way worth knowing about. House Bill 1175 took effect July 1, 2026, adding section 553.884 to the Florida Statutes and directing the Florida Building Commission and the State Fire Marshal to write safety design standards for office surgery suites by January 1, 2027. Those standards do not exist yet, so nobody can tell you today what a compliant suite will look like next year. It is a fair question to put to any practice treating you in an office.

Recovery, From The First Week To The Final Result

Formation treats aftercare as 40 percent of the outcome. The procedure is 60 percent and post-operative care is the rest, and poor aftercare can undo well-executed work. That is the 60/40 Recovery Standard, and it shapes how closely patients get followed.

The first few days bring mild swelling, some bruising and a tight feeling. A chin compression garment goes on.

At one week, most patients are back at work and back to training, with the garment worn 12 to 24 hours a day. For Land O’ Lakes patients, one week is roughly when a ride on the Suncoast Trail becomes reasonable again.

Between two and four weeks, swelling settles further and the results of the fat removal become clearly visible.

At three months, skin tightening shows and the jaw line reads sharper.

Between six and nine months, the final result is apparent as tightening finishes.

Dr. Grandhige follows patients for a full year, and nearly all of them complete it. That matters, because the distance between a three-month result and a nine-month result is the part most practices never show you. Real outcomes sit in the before-and-after gallery.

How Formation Prepares You Before And After Treatment

The device is the same everywhere. Any practice can buy the platform. What differs is what happens in the weeks around the treatment.

Health and diet are assessed before anything gets scheduled. Nutrition, supplements and peptides are then adjusted in the window immediately before and immediately after treatment, so the body builds as much structure as it can while tissue is healing. Protein intake, inflammation control and lymphatic flow are dialed in rather than left to chance.

The providers handling lymphatic work, nutrition and coaching were vetted personally by Dr. Grandhige, selected from a field where anyone can claim results.

Formation’s operating team is deliberately consistent. The same anesthesia provider and the same staff work every surgical case, and those cases run in Quad A accredited facilities. Everyone present already knows how this surgeon works. There is more on how Formation approaches care on the philosophy page.

Same instrument, different thinking around it. That is the part you are choosing.

Getting To Formation From Land O' Lakes

Formation is at 1315 South Howard Avenue in Tampa. Land O’ Lakes sits in Pasco County, north across the county line, and the trip runs about half an hour outside rush hour. Two routes make sense, and they suit different people.

Dale Mabry Highway is the toll-free option and it is nearly a single road. Dale Mabry meets US 41, Land O’ Lakes Boulevard, just north of the Hillsborough County line, then runs south roughly 22 miles through Lutz, Northdale and Carrollwood into South Tampa. Howard Avenue sits about a mile east of it near the end. Anyone who has driven Dale Mabry to a game at Raymond James has already driven most of this.

The Suncoast Parkway, which becomes the Veterans Expressway once it crosses into Hillsborough County, is faster and tolled. From Connerton or the Bexley side it is usually the better call. Coming from Collier Parkway or the Lake Padgett side, Dale Mabry generally wins.

Either way you are crossing a county line for care. The nearest alternatives sit in Lutz and Wesley Chapel. You are driving regardless, so the real question is who waits at the other end.

Consultation Options For Land O' Lakes Patients

Formation offers two ways in, and they are not the same thing.

The complimentary virtual evaluation is a video call with Hanna, Formation’s patient coordinator. She reviews your goals, talks through what is realistic and outlines a plan before you commit to the drive down from Pasco County. For someone half an hour out, that is the sensible first step.

The in-office consultation with Dr. Gopal Grandhige carries a fee. It is a full surgical assessment: anatomical evaluation, candidacy, an honest read on options and limitations, and guidance on timing. That fee can be applied toward any procedure or product at the practice.

The visit is not a sales meeting. It is a surgeon’s judgment, including the version where he tells you to wait or that surgery is not the answer.

The Short Version For Land O' Lakes Patients

FaceTite reaches a layer that surface treatments cannot, and it works well for patients whose skin still has recoil. It is not a facelift substitute, and Formation will not sell it to you as one.

What separates the treatment here from the same device elsewhere is the reading that comes first. Four layers get checked. If the problem is fat, that gets addressed. If it is muscle, skin, or the frame itself, you get told, even when the answer means Formation is not the right practice for you.

Start with the complimentary virtual evaluation if the drive from Pasco County gives you pause. It takes a video call, and you will know where you stand before you get in the car.

Frequently Asked Questions About FaceTite In Land O' Lakes

Fat removal shows within two to four weeks as swelling settles. Skin tightening takes longer. Expect visible tightening at three months and the final result between six and nine months.

No. Neck and jawline treatment is done in the office with an oral sedative and local anesthetic. You stay awake through it.

One week for most patients. The chin compression garment stays on 12 to 24 hours a day at that stage, which is worth planning around if your training is outdoors.

No. That is a platysmal band, and a band is muscle rather than skin. It needs a suspension approach with platysmaplasty. Dr. Grandhige identifies which layer your problem sits in before recommending anything.

It changes the conversation. Rapid weight loss, including on a GLP-1 medication, affects how skin behaves when released. Weight that has held steady for several months makes for a more predictable result.

The entry points are small and placed under the chin and behind the ears, where they are not easily seen once healed. They are incisions, though, and anyone claiming a procedure leaves no trace at all is overselling.

Dr. Grandhige will tell you at the consultation. Laxity past what energy can contract needs surgical removal, and Formation refers those patients to surgeons who handle that work rather than treating them with the wrong tool.

Follow-up runs for a full year, and the early visits matter most. Appointments are scheduled with the commute in mind.
