What FaceTite Does For The Neck And Jawline
FaceTite tightens loose skin under the chin and along the jaw from underneath, using a probe that passes through punctures too small to need stitches. Why Depth Of Access Is The Argument
The reason FaceTite reaches what surface devices cannot is position. The probe works from beneath the skin, at the level of the fibroseptal network. Lasers and microneedling platforms work from the top down and stop above it. That is a difference in access, not in marketing. Collagen response follows, but it follows the access.
Access is also why the operator matters more than the machine. The same device sits in offices all over Hillsborough County. What changes is who reads the neck before it gets turned on, and how much energy goes where.
FaceTite is 510(k)-cleared by the FDA. That is the clearance pathway for devices, and it is a different standard from drug approval. Any office calling it FDA-approved has the term wrong.

What Twenty Miles From Valrico Actually Changes
Valrico is a census-designated place in unincorporated Hillsborough County with a population of 37,895 at the 2020 census, and it sits about twenty miles east of our office at 1315 South Howard Avenue. That is a real drive. Thirty to forty-five minutes on State Road 60 and the Selmon Expressway, longer if you leave at five o’clock. We are not going to call it a short trip, because it is not one.
What the distance changes is planning. Four things are worth knowing before you book.
Aesthetic care inside Valrico is injector-led. The medspas along East Bloomingdale Avenue and Lithia Pinecrest Road handle neurotoxin, filler, and surface skin treatments, and they handle them well. None of those categories reach beneath the skin. That is the reason patients with laxity end up driving west in the first place.
Because this procedure uses an oral sedative and local anesthesia instead of general, you need a ride home but not an overnight stay. At twenty miles, that distinction decides whether the day is manageable. Surgical cases run in a Quad A accredited facility, which is a different logistical picture and a longer day.
The first drive does not have to be a gamble. Hanna, our patient coordinator, runs a complimentary virtual evaluation that covers your goals and outlines a plan before you commit to the trip. The in-office consultation with Dr. Grandhige carries a fee, runs as a full surgical assessment, and that fee can be applied toward any procedure or product at the practice.
Follow-ups are real appointments. Expect checks around two to four weeks and again near three months. Patients who would rather not repeat the drive in the early days can use the hotel relationships we hold near the office, where Dr. Grandhige visits patients in their rooms instead of making them come in. Recovery On A Valrico Timeline
Recovery here is specific enough to plan around.
The first few days bring mild swelling, bruising, and tightness, and you will wear a chin compression garment. At one week most people are back at work and back to social plans, with the garment on 12 to 24 hours a day. Training resumes at one week. Between two and four weeks the swelling settles and the fat removal becomes visible. At three months the skin tightening shows, with clear improvement along the jawline. The final result lands between six and nine months, once tightening has finished.
Two notes that matter more on the east side of the county. Eastern Hillsborough runs hot and humid from June into September, and a chin garment in August is miserable, so patients who can pick their month usually pick a cooler one. And three months is when most people first see what they came for, which means scheduling around a wedding or a reunion takes backward math rather than optimism.
One Formation patient, a professional in his forties who was otherwise fit and had never moved the area with weight loss, said he hated every photograph of himself. After neck liposuction with tightening, colleagues told him he looked rested. He started getting into pictures again. That is the scale of the change when the read was right. Not a different face. A face that matches the rest of you.
Dr. Grandhige puts it bluntly: surgery is sixty percent of the result and post-operative care is the other forty. That is the 60/40 Recovery Standard, and it is not a slogan. Compression, movement, lymphatic work, and protein intake all move the number. Poor aftercare can undo good work.
Preparation Is Where Most Of The Result Is Decided
Before anything gets scheduled, your health and diet are assessed. Nutrition, supplements, and peptides are then adjusted in the window immediately before and after treatment, so your body builds as much structure as it can while it heals. Protein intake, inflammation control, and lymphatic flow are handled as part of the procedure, not as advice you get on the way out the door.
The regulatory floor under office-based work is moving too. Florida HB 1175 took effect on July 1, 2026 as Chapter 2026-89, directing the Florida Building Commission and the State Fire Marshal to write dedicated safety design standards for office surgery suites by January 1, 2027. Any practice running energy procedures in-office should be tracking that, and patients are entitled to ask whether theirs is.
When FaceTite Is The Wrong Tool
Some necks do not need this, and saying so is part of the job.
If your skin has true excess rather than laxity, tightening will not collect it. A fold that hangs at rest and stays put when you release it is a skin-removal problem, and no energy device solves it. Patients in that group get referred outward. Formation stays in contact with the surgeons who do neck lift and facelift work well, and you leave with a name instead of a consolation procedure.
If the issue is texture, tone, or fine lines rather than looseness, a surface treatment is the better use of your time. If it is a soft frame with good skin, filler is the answer. If it is early laxity with very little fat, a PDO thread lift in Valrico may fit you better than energy will.
Then there is the part that rarely makes it onto a landing page. The first week is more than a long weekend.
