So you booked FaceTite, or you’re close to it, and now you want to know what happens after. Fair. The aftercare for FaceTite is easy to list and easy to underestimate: wear your compression garment, keep your head elevated, keep the small incisions clean, skip anything strenuous, and stay out of the sun for about two weeks. Swelling peaks on days two and three. Most people look presentable again within one to two weeks. FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency under the skin, and understanding how FaceTite works makes every aftercare rule click into place.
Aftercare for FaceTite means wearing a compression garment for the first few days, sleeping with your head raised, cleaning the tiny incisions as directed, staying off hard exercise and out of the sun, and keeping your follow-ups. Swelling peaks around day three and settles over one to two weeks, while the real skin tightening builds over several months.
FaceTite tightens loose skin and melts small fat pockets on the face and neck using heat. A thin probe goes under the skin through a tiny incision and delivers radiofrequency energy. That heat does two jobs at once. It firms the skin and shrinks fat, then it kicks off collagen that keeps tightening for months.
It’s popular for a reason. FaceTite sits among the minimally invasive procedures that made up more than 90% of the work ASPS tracked in 2024.
But here’s my contrarian take, and every honest surgeon will tell you the same. FaceTite is not a facelift. In the right candidate it gives you maybe 40% of a surgical lift’s effect. That’s a great deal if your skin laxity is mild to moderate. The first day sets up everything. Put on your compression garment and keep it on. Sleep with your head propped on two pillows. Take the medication you were prescribed, and leave the incisions alone except for the cleaning routine your team gives you.

One detail people get wrong is ice. Some protocols skip heavy icing right after FaceTite because the procedure works by heating tissue, and aggressive cold can push against that.
