FaceTite In Parkland Estates, FL

FaceTite, a minimally invasive radiofrequency treatment, tightens loose skin along the jawline and under the chin without a facelift incision. At Formation it’s often paired with neck liposuction in the same visit: fat comes out first, then FaceTite tightens the skin over the new contour. It’s done in the office under an oral sedative and local anesthesia, through small openings under the chin and behind the ears. Most people are back at work in about a week.

How FaceTite Works Under The Jawline

FaceTite heats tissue from underneath the skin. That heat contracts the connective tissue that holds the jawline’s shape.

A thin probe works beneath the skin while a matching electrode moves across the surface, and the device tracks temperature the whole time. The treatment zone covers the lower face, the jowls and the upper neck.

Depth of access is the difference. Lasers and standard microneedling work from the surface down and stop inside the skin. FaceTite reaches the deepest layer of the skin and the fibroseptal network beneath it, the connective tissue foundation between skin and muscle. That network decides whether a jawline reads crisp or soft. Collagen remodeling follows over the next few months as a supporting effect. If you’ve been weighing a no-incision option, Formation’s breakdown of how FaceTite compares with focused ultrasound covers what each one can reach.

Heat isn’t the starting point, though. Dr. Grandhige reads the tissue first and decides whether it belongs in the plan at all.

The Four-Layer Neck Read

Most necks show aging in more than one layer at once. A plan that treats only one of them leaves the others showing. Before recommending anything, Dr. Grandhige reads four layers and matches each to its own solution. FaceTite is the solution for one.

Layer One, The Fat

The fat pad under the chin is heavily influenced by genetics, and it often holds on through weight loss that works everywhere else. Removing it is what creates a clean angle between chin and neck. Heat applied over fat that stays behind gives you a smoother version of the same profile. When fat is the main issue, liposuction does most of the work and FaceTite follows to tighten the skin. That’s why FaceTite here often sits inside a broader neck and jawline contouring plan.

Layer Two, The Platysma And Platysmal Bands

The platysma is the thin sheet of muscle across the front of the neck. When its edges separate, vertical cords show as you tense your neck. Those are platysmal bands, and heat doesn’t change muscle. Where bands are present, the solution is MyEllevate, a permanent suspension suture, combined with platysmaplasty. The suture is nonabsorbable and can be removed, unlike barbed threads that dissolve, and the lift is present the day it’s placed.

Layer Three, Skin And The Fibroseptal Network

This is FaceTite’s layer, and elasticity decides the outcome. The working window runs from roughly skin age 25 to 55, judged by how your skin behaves rather than your birthday.

You can check at home. Pinch the skin under your chin, hold it for a second and let go. A fast snap back means radiofrequency has something to contract. If the skin stays tented, or you can gather a heavy fold, tightening alone won’t get you there. Patients beyond what tightening or contouring can reach are referred out. Formation stays in contact with surgeons who do that work well and points you to the right one.

Layer Four, Chin Projection And Jaw Angle

Some necks clear the first three layers and still don’t show the line you pictured, because the chin and jaw don’t project far enough. That’s a frame problem. Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite, and Juvederm, a hyaluronic acid, add structure at the chin and along the jaw angle. A superhero jawline is built on the frame first. Tightening can’t create projection that was never there.

There’s a story behind every decision.Cosmetic surgery is a personal decision. Yet people who choose it often find themselves having to explain or defend that choice to others. Some want to restore changes after pregnancy or weight loss. Others have worked hard to get in shape but still have areas they’d like to improve. And some simply want to feel more comfortable with their appearance. The reasons are different for everyone. And they don’t have to make sense to anyone else.At Formation, Dr. Gopal believes the decision to pursue cosmetic surgery should be guided by a patient’s personal goals, realistic expectations, and what’s medically appropriate for them.Because ultimately, the person making that decision is the one who will live with it.#Tampa #CosmeticSurgery #BodyContouring #Liposuction

What weight loss can’t fix. After losing over 100 pounds, this patient had achieved significant weight loss, but was left with excess skin around his abdomen and back that weight loss alone couldn’t address.During an 8-hour surgery, Dr. Gopal performed a circumferential body lift, a procedure that removes excess skin around the entire midsection to improve body contour. In this video, Dr. Gopal walks through the procedure, explaining how he removed approximately 3 pounds of skin from the back and estimated another 4–5 pounds would be removed from the abdomen. He’s also using a small amount of fat collected during the procedure to add volume to the upper chest, improving its contour without performing a separate chest lift. For patients who have experienced major weight loss, body contouring can help address the excess skin that remains after the weight is gone.Considering surgery after weight loss? Your fat is liquid gold. The fat you don’t want might be exactly what another part of your body needs.During liposuction, the fat we remove doesn’t always have to be discarded. In fact, Dr. Gopal refers to it as “liquid gold.”Why? Because that fat can sometimes be transferred to another area of the body to add volume, enhance natural contours, and create a more balanced shape. For women, that might mean adding volume to the breasts, hips, or buttocks. For men, fat transfer can help enhance the chest or shoulders. And because we’re using your own fat, we can potentially improve two areas during the same surgery.Of course, fat transfer isn’t right for everyone. It’s something Dr. Gopal discusses with patients beforehand and incorporates into the surgical plan when appropriate.Considering liposuction in Tampa? A flatter stomach without a tummy tuck? 👀Pregnancy, and sometimes increased pressure from fat deep inside the abdomen, can cause the abdominal muscles to separate down the middle. This is called diastasis recti, and it can make your belly stick out even if you’re otherwise lean.Traditionally, repairing that separation often meant undergoing a tummy tuck. But what if you don’t have much loose skin to remove? For the right patient, Dr. Gopal can use robotic-assisted surgery to bring those separated muscles back together through three small incisions, without the long scar associated with a traditional tummy tuck. That’s exactly what he did for the patient in these before-and-after photos. No tummy tuck. No additional procedures.**But this approach isn’t for everyone.** If you have significant loose skin or excess fat, a different treatment may be more appropriate. That’s why understanding what’s causing your belly to protrude matters before deciding on surgery.Curious whether you’re a candidate? Why does fluid sometimes collect after surgery? After certain surgical procedures, fluid can accumulate beneath the skin, forming what’s called a seroma. In this video, Dr. Gopal demonstrates how he drains a seroma in a patient recovering from diastasis recti repair. This is one of the reasons postoperative follow-up matters. It allows Dr. Gopal to monitor healing, identify any issues, and address them when necessary.Considering surgery? The fat is gone. But what takes its place? When fat is removed during liposuction, it leaves behind space beneath the skin. As the body heals, fluid can sometimes collect in that space, creating what’s called a seroma. And here’s why that matters. If fluid continues to collect, it can potentially affect the final contour. That’s why Dr. Gopal pays close attention to fluid buildup during recovery. His approach is to identify seromas early and address them quickly.Considering liposuction in Tampa? Who FaceTite Suits, And When To Wait

The strongest candidates are at or near a stable weight, with mild to moderate looseness and skin that still recoils. Most of Dr. Grandhige’s patients are already fit and healthy. They aren’t trying to lose weight. They’re working on something diet and training can’t fix, and loose skin is the clearest example.

Sometimes the honest answer is to wait. A weight that’s still moving gives the result a moving target. An event in the next few weeks may arrive while swelling is still settling. And if your skin reads as fine for now, you’ll hear that too. Dr. Grandhige sees his job as guiding you to the right decision, even when that decision is to hold off or address your overall health first.

The question most people sit on is whether anyone will be able to tell. Patients often raise worries like that with staff rather than with the surgeon. Formation’s staff pass those concerns along so Dr. Grandhige can address them without you having to ask.

Male patients call for a different aesthetic eye, because small errors in male contouring can leave a result looking artificial or feminized. FaceTite for men covers this in more depth.

One patient, a professional in his 40s, had carried fullness under his jaw for as long as he could remember. He was fit, but the area never responded to weight loss, and he avoided photos. His plan was targeted neck liposuction with precise jawline contouring, with aggressive skin tightening deliberately left out. Colleagues started telling him he looked rested. He felt his face finally matched the rest of his body, and he steps into pictures now. His read pointed to fat and restraint, so that’s what he got.

What The Wider Research Adds

A systematic review of subsurface radiofrequency studies adds what most clinic pages leave out. It evaluated 30 articles and found that firmness and nodules were the most frequent complications, that most patients had prolonged swelling and numbness, that satisfaction scores were modest, and that 77 percent of the studies came from authors with a known conflict of interest. Its authors concluded that marketing has run ahead of the science. The review has its own limit: it pooled face, neck and body treatments, breast studies included, so not every finding applies to the neck.

Read next to the 247-patient review, the picture holds together. Swelling, firmness and numbness are common early on, and lasting problems are uncommon. That argues for starting with the four-layer read rather than the device, and for follow-up that runs a full year. Dr. Grandhige follows every patient for twelve months.

What The Largest FaceTite Review Found

The 2020 multicenter review of 247 patients is the largest published evaluation of FaceTite combined with fractional radiofrequency microneedling. Baker Face/Neck scores improved by 1.4 points on average, and 93 percent of patients said they were pleased and would repeat the procedure. The authors also logged complications. Swelling lasted past six weeks in 4.8 percent and a firm area lasted past twelve weeks in 3.2 percent. Temporary weakness of the marginal mandibular nerve, which moves the corner of the mouth, appeared in 1.2 percent. All of these resolved without further treatment.

Some details in the paper matter more than the headline numbers. Only 13 of the 247 patients were men, so the figures describe female necks far more than male ones. Almost all of the cases, 240 of 247, were done under local anesthesia, and Formation also works under local anesthesia in the office, with an oral sedative. The paper’s own video titles name fibro septal network contraction as the mechanism, the same layer this page describes.

Two limits belong next to those figures. It’s a retrospective review rather than a controlled trial. And because FaceTite was paired with microneedling, its results can’t be credited to FaceTite alone. Older patients also showed a larger change, though both age groups improved. If you’re starting younger with firmer skin, expect a smaller measured shift from a better starting point.

From Parkland Estates To 1315 South Howard

Parkland Estates runs from Swann Avenue south to Morrison Avenue, and from Lincoln Avenue east to Howard Avenue, within the 33609 ZIP code. Formation sits on that eastern boundary street. The Howard and Morrison corner, the neighborhood’s southeast point, falls at the 900 block of South Howard. Formation is at 1315, about four blocks farther south toward Bayshore Boulevard.

From the eastern blocks, that’s a short walk. From the Lincoln Avenue side, drive east on Morrison and turn south on Howard.

The closeness matters for two practical reasons.

The first is follow-up. Dr. Grandhige follows patients for a full year, and nearly all of them complete it. From here, every check-in takes a few minutes each way instead of a cross-town drive, including the ones while you’re still in the chin garment.

The second is visibility. Parkland Estates sits just west of the SoHo stretch of Howard, within walking distance of Hyde Park Village. The people who see you in a chin garment are likely to be neighbors. At one week you’re back at work and social plans with the garment on 12 to 24 hours a day. If that matters to you, schedule around it rather than hoping nobody notices.

The Preparation Window Around Your Treatment

Most of what separates one FaceTite result from another happens on either side of the appointment.

Your health and diet are assessed before treatment. In the window immediately before and after, nutrition, supplements and peptides are adjusted so your body builds as much new structure as it can while the treated tissue heals. Protein intake, inflammation control and lymphatic flow are dialed in with you directly. Lymphatic care, nutrition guidance and coaching come from providers Dr. Grandhige has vetted himself and watched produce results.

His training explains the emphasis. He’s a board-certified general surgeon, certified by the American Board of Surgery, who specializes in aesthetic surgery. He earned his MD at the University of Michigan Medical School and completed fellowship training in burn surgery, critical care, and minimally invasive metabolic and foregut surgery. Burn and critical care medicine are built on wound healing, and radiofrequency works by creating a controlled healing response under the skin.

Every practice that offers FaceTite uses the same device. The thinking around it is what differs.

The 60/40 Recovery Standard And Your Timeline

Dr. Grandhige counts the procedure as 60 percent of the result and the care afterward as the other 40. Poor aftercare can undo well-performed work, so recovery here is actively managed. For a neck and jawline case, the timeline runs like this:

  • First few days: mild swelling, bruising and tightness, with the chin compression garment on.
  • One week: back to work and social plans, with the garment on 12 to 24 hours a day. Training resumes around this point.
  • Two to four weeks: swelling keeps settling and the fat removal becomes visible.
  • Three months: skin tightening shows, with clear improvement along the jawline.
  • Six to nine months: the final result, once tightening is complete.

The garment does real work in those first weeks. Formation’s guide to wearing a compression garment after FaceTite covers why it matters.

Count backward from the dates that matter to you. A treatment in November 2026 reaches its final result between May and August 2027. For an event, give yourself at least four weeks, the point where fat removal is visible. Allow closer to three months if you want the tightening on display too.

Deciding On FaceTite From Parkland Estates

FaceTite works on the deepest layer of the skin and the connective network beneath it, which surface lasers and standard microneedling don’t reach. It does its best work when skin still recoils and looseness is mild to moderate, and it’s often paired with fat removal in the same visit. When the read points to a different layer, whether fat, muscle bands or the frame, you’ll hear which one and why.

Dr. Grandhige’s advice on before-and-afters is simple: look for patients whose before looks like you. If you’re weighing other areas as well, the main FaceTite in Tampa page covers them.

From Parkland Estates, Formation is four blocks down the neighborhood’s own eastern street, which makes a full year of follow-up easy to keep. Start with the read. If the honest answer is to wait, that’s worth knowing too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Very close. Howard Avenue is the neighborhood's eastern boundary, and Formation is at 1315 South Howard, about four blocks south of the Howard and Morrison corner. From the Lincoln Avenue side, drive east on Morrison and turn south on Howard.

It's minimally invasive. A thin probe works under the skin through small openings under the chin and behind the ears, with an oral sedative and local anesthesia, so you're awake and there's no facelift incision.

Yes. The in-office consultation with Dr. Grandhige carries a fee because it's a full surgical assessment, and the fee can be applied toward any procedure or product at Formation. Before deciding to come in, you can start with a complimentary virtual evaluation with patient coordinator Hanna, who assesses your goals and outlines a plan.

Most people return to work and social plans at about one week, with the chin garment on 12 to 24 hours a day at that stage. Training resumes around the same point.

No. Vertical bands come from the platysma muscle, and heat doesn't change muscle. Where bands are present, the solution is MyEllevate, a permanent suspension suture, combined with platysmaplasty.

Less directly than you might expect. In the largest published review, 234 of the 247 patients were women, so the figures mostly describe female necks. Male patients also call for a different aesthetic eye, and Dr. Grandhige plans for that from the first read.

Firm spots and nodules are the most frequently reported complication across subsurface radiofrequency studies. In the 247-patient review, a firm area lasted past twelve weeks in 3.2 percent of patients, and every case resolved without more treatment. Raise it at a follow-up rather than waiting it out.

Results are long-lasting. Aging continues, but removing excess fat in this area can reset the aging clock and slow the appearance of future laxity when it's done appropriately.
