FaceTite In North Hyde Park, FL

FaceTite is a radiofrequency-assisted contouring device that tightens loose skin along the jawline and upper neck from underneath, through very small incisions hidden under the chin and behind the ears. At Formation it runs in the office under local anesthesia, with no general anesthesia. Most patients are back at work and back in the gym in about a week. From North Hyde Park, the office is a straight drive down Howard Avenue.

What FaceTite Does Under The Jawline

FaceTite heats the tissue beneath your skin so the connective framework holding your jawline contracts and a thin layer of fat shrinks. A slim probe passes under the skin while temperature is held within set limits both beneath the skin and at the surface, so the tissue heats without overheating.

The point is depth. Lasers and microneedling work from the top down and stop at the skin. They can’t reach the fibroseptal network, the connective tissue foundation between skin and muscle, and that structure decides whether a jawline reads sharp or soft. FaceTite works from underneath, so it can.

If you’ve read the FaceTite in Tampa page, the device here is the same. What changes in North Hyde Park is who tends to ask about it, and that changes the answer.

Who Asks About FaceTite In North Hyde Park

North Hyde Park asks two very different FaceTite questions, and they rarely end with the same plan.

The neighborhood runs from Kennedy Boulevard north to I-275, east of Armenia Avenue, and its apartment buildings have drawn University of Tampa students and young professionals. That puts many residents near the younger end of the elasticity window, roughly skin ages 25 to 55, the range where heat-driven tightening works. For younger skin, FaceTite is often the wrong first tool.

Under 35 With Skin That Still Snaps Back

Pinch the skin under your chin, hold it three seconds and let go. If it springs right back, your skin probably isn’t the problem. A soft jawline at 29 usually traces to a genetic fat pad or a chin that doesn’t project far enough, and neither responds to heat. A fat pad responds to neck liposuction. A short chin responds to structural filler. Tightening skin that’s already tight buys you very little.

After Fast Weight Loss

The second group lost weight quickly, often on a GLP-1 medication, and found the skin under the jaw didn’t follow. A 2025 imaging study of 20 patients on GLP-1 medications at Vanderbilt found a median 9 percent drop in midface volume, roughly 7 percent for every 10 kilograms lost. The limitation matters. It was a retrospective study of twenty patients, and it measured the midface, not the neck. Treat the number as a signal, not a rule.

It still changes the plan. A neck that has already lost fat needs restraint, not more removal. Over-aggressive fat removal causes irregularities and ages the neck early, and it can trade a double chin for loose, hollow skin. For these patients recoil decides everything. When the skin still returns, tightening can lead with little or no fat removed. If your weight is still dropping, the honest answer can be to wait, because tightening a neck that’s still changing treats a shape you’re about to leave.

Not every patient who wants surgery is ready for it.One patient came to Dr. Gopal wanting a tummy tuck. Over the next 18 months, she returned multiple times, having lost more weight each time. And each time, the answer was still no.Not because she couldn’t have the surgery, but because she wasn’t where she wanted to be yet.Instead of rushing into surgery, the focus was on helping her reach a healthier, more sustainable weight through nutritional counseling, lifestyle support, and medical weight management.By the time she had lost 80 pounds, she was ready, both physically and mentally. For Dr. Gopal, being a good surgeon isn’t just about knowing how to perform a procedure. It’s also about knowing when not to perform one.Sometimes the best result starts long before the operating room.Considering a tummy tuck? Six hours. Hundreds of decisions.High-definition liposuction is as much about precision as it is about technique.Dr. Gopal can spend 6–7 hours on a single HD liposuction procedure, carefully evaluating the body’s anatomy, refining muscle definition, and making sure each contour transitions naturally into the next. And that level of attention doesn’t change as the hours go by.Because the final result is shaped by hundreds of small decisions made throughout the procedure.Considering HD liposuction in Tampa? Which one surprised you the most? 👀Liposuction is one of those procedures people have heard a lot about, but not everything they’ve heard is accurate. From what liposuction can actually achieve to how long results take to develop, there are plenty of misconceptions that can lead to unrealistic expectations.Dr. Gopal Grandhige, board-certified plastic surgeon at Formation in Tampa, breaks down some of the most common beliefs about liposuction and explains what’s fact and what’s fiction.#Liposuction #HDLiposuction #BodyContouring #tampa

This is not your typical liposuction. 👀Most people think liposuction is simply about removing unwanted fat. But high-definition liposuction takes a different approach. Before surgery, Dr. Gopal carefully maps out the patient’s natural anatomy, marking the chest, abdomen, and waist to guide where fat will be removed and where it should be preserved. Why does that matter?Because removing fat evenly isn’t necessarily going to create definition. HD liposuction uses strategic fat removal to highlight the underlying muscle structure and create a more sculpted, athletic appearance. And those lines? They’re part of the planning that makes this level of precision possible. The photos show an actual patient immediately after surgery. Swelling is still present, and the final results will develop as healing progresses.Interested in high-definition liposuction? Does fat move after lipo? It’s a common concern, especially when someone notices weight gain in an area that wasn’t treated. Here’s what actually happens. The fat cells removed during liposuction are gone permanently. But if someone gains weight afterward, the remaining fat cells can still grow, including in areas that weren’t treated. The fat didn’t move. The body gained weight. That’s why Dr. Gopal emphasizes being at a weight patients can realistically maintain before surgery. Not the lowest weight they can reach, but one they can sustain long after recovery.Considering liposuction? Schedule a consultation with Dr. Gopal at Formation in Tampa. Don’t plan lipo 2 months before vacation. If the goal is to enjoy a more sculpted, defined body next summer, the planning needs to start months before that.Fall is one of our busiest seasons at Formation, and there’s a reason for it. Many patients are already thinking about how they want to look and feel next summer. But getting there takes time.At Formation, Dr. Gopal requires at least four weeks of preparation before surgery. That time is spent preparing patients physically and mentally for the procedure and recovery. After surgery, swelling needs to go down, the skin needs to contract, and the tissues need time to settle into their new contour. It can take 6–9 months for results to look and feel natural. That’s why Dr. Gopal recommends planning liposuction 6–12 months ahead, especially when there’s a specific season or vacation in mind.If next summer is the goal, now is the time to start the conversation.DM us or Schedule a consultation with Dr. Gopal at Formation in Tampa. How defined would you go?Not everyone wants the same look from HD liposuction. Some prefer a smooth, subtle contour, while others want their abs to stand out. Here’s how the three levels of definition differ:01. Low definition: A leaner, natural-looking abdomen with subtle definition and light contouring around the underlying muscles.02. Medium definition: More visible separation between the abdominal muscles, with added definition through the abs and obliques without a sharply etched six-pack.03. High definition: More pronounced sculpting around the abs and obliques to highlight the underlying muscle structure and create a more chiseled, athletic look.Dr. Gopal tailors his HD liposuction technique to the level of definition you’re looking for, while considering what’s achievable for your body.Which would you choose: 1, 2 or 3? This isn’t traditional lipo. It’s HD lipo. For this patient, getting smaller isn’t the goal.He already works out. He already has the muscle. Dr. Gopal’s job is to use HD liposuction to bring out more of that existing definition and shape the areas around it so the body looks more athletic and defined. That’s why the markings matter. Before surgery even begins, Dr. Gopal is mapping out how the abs, chest, arms and surrounding areas should work together in the final result.Considering HD liposuction in Tampa? The Four-Layer Neck Read

Dr. Grandhige reads every neck layer by layer before naming a treatment. Most necks show aging in more than one layer at once, which is why one device rarely settles the whole complaint. FaceTite answers one layer of the four.

Layer One: Fat

A genetic fat pad responds to removal, not heat. When fat is the main issue, liposuction comes first and tightening follows.

Layer Two: Platysma Muscle And Platysmal Bands

Clench your teeth. If two vertical cords stand up in your neck, those are platysmal bands, and no radiofrequency device will settle them. The answer is MyEllevate, a permanent suspension suture, combined with platysmaplasty. Formation raises it only when the bands are there.

Layer Three: Skin And The Fibroseptal Network

This is FaceTite’s layer. Skin that snaps back after a pinch responds well to heat. Skin that returns slowly but flattens is borderline and gets a modest result. Skin that stays tented or folds has moved past what heat can reach.

Layer Four: Chin Projection And Jaw Angle

Some jawlines are soft because the bone underneath doesn’t project far enough. Tighten skin over a recessed chin and you get a tidier version of the same profile. Structural filler builds the frame instead: Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite, or Juvederm, a hyaluronic acid, placed along the jaw angle and chin. That’s often the difference between a clean jaw and a superhero jawline.

What FaceTite Will Not Do

FaceTite delivers a fraction of what a surgical neck lift delivers. For the right neck that fraction is enough, and it costs about a week of downtime instead of several. It’s still a fraction.

It doesn’t remove skin. It doesn’t repair muscle. On its own, it does little for a heavy fat pad. A FaceTite result disappoints when the neck was the wrong match: skin that was borderline before treatment, or a problem sitting in a different layer. The outcomes to avoid are loose skin where a double chin used to be, a hollow, older look from too much fat removed, or an uneven contour. Restraint is how Formation guards against all three.

If your neck needs skin removed, Formation won’t talk you into something smaller. Formation stays in contact with the surgeons who do that work well and points you to the right one. If fat and loose skin both drive your complaint, neck and jawline contouring pairs careful fat removal with tightening in a single procedure.

Treatment Day At Formation

Neck tightening at Formation is an office procedure. You take an oral anti-anxiety sedative, the area is numbed with local anesthesia, and Dr. Grandhige works through very small incisions under the chin and behind the ears. If fat needs to come out, careful liposuction runs first and preserves your natural jaw angles. The skin is then tightened over the muscle and bone underneath with FaceTite or Renuvion, a helium plasma energy device, whichever fits your neck. A chin compression garment goes on before you leave, and you go home the same day.

One accuracy point. FaceTite is made by InMode, and InMode’s radiofrequency system is built for procedures that need electrocoagulation and contraction of soft tissue. It reached the market through the FDA’s 510(k) premarket notification pathway, so it’s 510(k)-cleared, not FDA-approved. Clearance means the FDA found the device substantially equivalent to one already legally on the market. That’s a real standard, and a lower bar than approval.

Recovering A Mile Down Howard Avenue

For North Hyde Park, distance isn’t the obstacle. Formation sits at 1315 South Howard Avenue, about a mile south of Kennedy Boulevard, so most of the neighborhood is one straight drive down Howard. North Hyde Park spans three ZIP codes, and one of them, 33606, is Formation’s own.

That closeness changes recovery in three ways. First, follow-up stops being a chore. Dr. Grandhige follows patients for a full year, and nearly all of them stay for the whole year. From here a check-in is a short drive, not a half-day.

Second, you recover in your own bed. Patients who travel in from out of town recover in nearby hotels, where Dr. Grandhige visits them in the early days. North Hyde Park patients go home.

Third, a week-one return to work is realistic. The neighborhood sits between downtown and Westshore, so most commutes are short, and Dr. Grandhige sets where you fall in the garment range.

Timing still matters. A compression garment is easier to wear in January than in August, and Atlantic hurricane season runs through November 30. Treat in December and visible tightening arrives around March, with the final result between June and September. A summer date works, but you’ll carry the garment through the hottest weeks of the year.

Preparation And Recovery

Before Treatment

Health and diet are assessed before treatment. Nutrition, supplements and peptides are then adjusted in the window immediately before and after, so your body builds the most structure it can while the result forms. That follows Formation’s philosophy: treatment is one piece of a larger plan, and sometimes the plan says wait.

Your Recovery Timeline

The first few days bring mild swelling, bruising and tightness, with a chin compression garment on. At one week most patients return to work, social plans and training, still wearing the garment 12 to 24 hours a day. Between two and four weeks the swelling keeps settling and the liposuction result becomes visible. Skin tightening shows at three months, with a clear change along the jawline. The final result arrives between six and nine months, once tightening is complete.

The 60/40 Recovery Standard

Dr. Grandhige treats the procedure as 60 percent of your result and post-operative care as the other 40. Incorrect aftercare can ruin well-performed work, so Formation runs recovery instead of handing you a printout. Support draws on providers for lymphatic care, nutrition and coaching that Dr. Grandhige has vetted himself. The instrument is identical at every practice that owns one. The thinking around it is not.

Why North Hyde Park Patients Choose Formation

A surgeon reads your tissue instead of an operator running a protocol. Dr. Grandhige has been operating for over 15 years across several thousand procedures. He completed fellowship training in burn surgery, critical care, and minimally invasive metabolic and foregut surgery before he concentrated on aesthetic surgery. He is board-certified in general surgery, which you can confirm through the American Board of Surgery.

The room stays consistent. He works with the same anesthesia provider and the same staff, and his own physician assistant assists on every surgery. Surgical cases run in Quad A-accredited facilities.

He stays involved. He evaluates every patient personally, performs every procedure, limits his volume and follows you for twelve months. Men need a different aesthetic eye along the jaw, and FaceTite for men covers that plan.

One patient in his forties, fit but frustrated that his neck and jawline made him look heavier and older, hated every photo he was in. His plan was neck liposuction with jawline contouring that preserved his natural angles and deliberately avoided aggressive skin tightening. Colleagues told him he looked rested. He started getting into pictures again. Not every neck needs aggressive tightening, and his didn’t.

There are two ways to start. The in-office consultation with Dr. Grandhige carries a fee and is a full surgical assessment, and that fee can be applied toward any procedure or product at the practice. If you’d like a read first, Formation offers a complimentary virtual evaluation with patient coordinator Hanna, who reviews your goals and outlines a plan before you come in.

Frequently Asked Questions About FaceTite In North Hyde Park

Possibly. Skin generally responds to tightening between skin ages 25 and 55, but younger skin often still snaps back on its own. If yours does, a soft jawline is more likely fat or chin projection, and neck liposuction or structural filler may do more than heat. Dr. Grandhige will tell you when FaceTite isn't the right tool.

It depends on recoil. If your skin still returns after a pinch, tightening can do a lot with little fat removed, since fast weight loss often leaves less fat to take. If the skin stays folded, you may need more than energy tightening. If your weight is still dropping, waiting until it holds usually makes more sense.

It's a minimally invasive procedure, not a non-surgical one. Dr. Grandhige works through very small incisions under the chin and behind the ears, using local anesthesia and an oral sedative, in the office. There's no general anesthesia and no hospital stay.

Most patients return to work, social plans and training at about one week. At that point you'll still wear a chin compression garment 12 to 24 hours a day, and Dr. Grandhige sets where you fall in that range.

Usually not. The incisions sit under the chin and behind the ears, and people tend to say you look rested or fit without realizing anything was done.

Results are long-lasting, though your neck keeps aging naturally. Removing excess fat with restraint can reset the aging clock and slow future laxity, and fat cells removed with liposuction don't come back. Holding a stable weight protects the result.

Judge it at the right time. Tightening shows at three months and finishes between six and nine months. If your neck still has more laxity than heat can reach by then, Dr. Grandhige will say so and point you to a surgeon who does that work well.
