Your lipo results at 2 weeks are not your final results.

Once the four layers are read, your plan lands on one of three answers.
The border is intact, the chin sits back, the angle is soft, the skin still springs back, and there’s no real pad underneath. That jaw takes volume well, and filler is the right tool.
The structure is there, just covered. Adding volume to a full lower face makes it heavier.
One Formation patient, a fit professional in his 40s, said his jaw had always looked this way, and he hated how he looked in pictures. The answer was neck liposuction with precise jawline contouring. Colleagues told him he looked more rested, and now he smiles more and gets in the photos.
A wide lower face driven by a heavy chewing muscle isn’t a volume problem in either direction, and filler only widens it. Masseter Botox, a botulinum toxin, narrows the muscle instead.

This one gets less attention than it should. Two CT studies led by the same research team in China found bone thinning in the chin after hyaluronic acid filler.
In their 2024 prospective controlled study, about 36 percent of injected patients showed visible resorption on CT. An earlier comparison of 80 injected patients with 80 matched controls tied the loss to volume per session, with 1 ml or more per session carrying more risk. That study found the chin’s appearance wasn’t harmed.
The studies have limits. Both cohorts were in China, the 2024 study followed patients for only 6 to 12 months, and nobody yet knows whether the bone recovers once the filler breaks down. The researchers also noted the thinning was far smaller than what chin implants can cause. The practical move is modest chin volume per session.
Health and diet get assessed before treatment, not after. Nutrition, supplements, and peptides are adjusted in the window right before and after your session, so your body builds the most structure it can. Blood thinners, fish oil, alcohol, and hard training all change how much you bruise and how the result settles, which is why the plan gets dialed in about a week ahead.

After a filler session, that means ice, no hard training for about 48 hours, sleeping with your head elevated the first night, and a review at about two weeks.
